I bought this candle because I wanted a candle without harmful substances. I've read that soy wax, beeswax, or coconut wax are better. When I opened the small jar, the candle smelled nice and strong. However, the flavor is very mild when lit. I bought it for my mother. Now we will keep looking for other brands. I bought a honeysuckle candle because I read reviews that the lemon verbena scent was very faint.

and it's true. I was looking for a relatively cheap alternative to the various honeysuckle scented candles I was buying and decided to take a chance at the price. Seriously folks, it smells more like one of those citrus mosquito repellents my mom used to use in the 1970's. It burns well, which is important, but an odorless purchase is useless. My least favorite honeysuckle candle was bought and I've tried five different brands.

I bought this to use in my bedroom but I smell a light citronella scent. I love lemon and lemon verbena candles. I give it three stars because the glass is very nice and lasts quite a long time. However, I use it outside on the patio and not at home because I don't like the smell of citronella indoors. A great outdoor candle as it comes in a tin case and has a lid to keep out the rain and dry the wick. It's too early in spring to know if it will repel mosquitoes but I hope so.
