Part too big for spares

As others have said this gear is not manufactured correctly and is larger than stock resulting in the odometer not reading half price but not fitting properly

Wrong Size Large Gear

The larger of the two gears is the wrong size for a 1992 Dodge d150. Luckily I was able to use the old big gear and the new small gear to get the odometer working again.

Revane said he would, you're wrong.

1990 Dodge D150 5.2 Automatic and 100 MPH Speedometer. The big gear in this set is too small so the small gear never touches so the numbers don't move making this WRONG FOR MY truck!

These gears do NOT work!

Oops! I read 5 star reviews but not 1 star reviews. I agree with the other reviewer that these gears DO NOT WORK! The blue and white set in the photos is the broken original set but it fits. The double white set shows how bad these gears are - look at the angle and induced stress on the motor shaft causing the whole thing to stick/stick! The last picture shows how far apart they are and will not fit on the motor unless pressed against the shaft.

didn't work for sensors

I actually ordered two sets of these gears to fix a broken odometer on my 92 W150. Neither set worked. I only ordered a second set because I thought I received a bad set the first time. These gears were too tight which caused too much stress and didn't allow the gears to actually rotate, causing my odometer to not work. Save yourself the headache and order a set of Dorman Gears from Rock Auto. Dorman gears fit snugly and spin freely.

This forces the gear on the motor shaft against the gear so tightly that it drives the armature on the motor cannot rotate. I have modified both original and spare parts and combined them into a working kit. I sanded down the large gear on the underside of the old part, being careful not to damage the small bushing around the center hole. I sanded the entire top of the new part, leaving the large gear with a small hole. I carefully drilled a small hole in the gear at 5/32 inch. I pressed the…
