quality rope. Used for static traction system. pin set.

Why buy a $300 umbilical? This rope has proven to be durable and useful. I assembled my set of Grand Canyon Rafting Pins using less expensive rope and blocks. I saved nearly $200 off the top brands retail prices. Victory.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

excellent rope! Bought for Scout Troop to dismount and mount Prussia. I have bought many ropes over the last 35 years and am very happy with this one. I bought the 11mm for durability and size. It works well in single or double performance.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • packaging is ugly

Quality check, spool found defective but sure does not fit climbing rope

Purchased 300ft Planned to be used as a descent rope, marked in the middle and found some imperfections after inspecting the rope. One is about 100 feet in so lost almost 1/3 of the rope usage. Disappointed in himself for marking the rope before it was spotted and now most likely non-refundable. Make sure you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Slim design

poor outer layer for ropes, cords and straps

This line was purchased for use on an aerial work platform hydraulic boom. The loads did not exceed the carrying capacity/tensile strength of the rope. The outer layer of line that accidentally touches under load wears away, resulting in constant shortening of the line and reinstallation of fasteners. Initially the price was quite high and the lifespan is greatly reduced as the lines become too short to be used so they have to be replaced. I wouldn't consider this for climbing as if rubbingโ€ฆ
