I thought our German Shepherd would be more comfortable in this than in a cone, he kept bumping into EVERYTHING. Not very nice when after 10 punches to the back of the legs a cone with a 90lb German Shepherd is after him. The reason for buying this collar is for him and for us. He was able to free himself from it twice. Taken and applied once. The second time he decided he wouldn't wear it again and chewed/tore it into about 5 pieces. So this collar held up perfectly for a day and a half.

Brought this guy home after he got neutered and his poor little head could barely hold the cone of shame. Ordered and received the next day! I have steel lungs and was able to blow them up quickly, the hardest part was removing the original cone from my dog. This small size fits well (11 lb Havapu) but if it was a little bigger a medium would be best. He definitely can't take it off himself or reach the stitches. I tried another Kong inflatable that my vet sold and found it bulky and uncomfortable for my pup. I thought I'd try.
