Grip and Safety: Munchkin Bathtub Grippy Dots, 6 Count Review

I would like to start by saying that I like the quality of the product. Good suction, discs stay in place and provide good grip for little feet. I ordered these because my bathtub is a bit small and I was concerned that a standard bath mat might not fit. I thought adjustable sheaves would be a good option. Unfortunately, they are quite small and do not cover a large area. Looks like I need a second set. Just read the dimensions carefully.

The first day or two my daughter insisted on tearing them up and playing with them. Then she took care of it and they did their job well. Unfortunately we then repainted our cast iron tub and they left marks on the epoxy so we had to find another solution. But overall I like these a lot. They are fun, provide good support and can be positioned anywhere. I also like the White Hot feature as a safety precaution. I plan to use them in our next home.

This is exactly what we needed. I used them on the bottom of a very slick flat slippery plastic baby bath tub. They work great and stick well. After each bath I take them out, rinse them and lay them out to dry completely to avoid mold growing on the suction cups (this happens with many bath rugs). Bath size you will need more than one pack (maybe 2 or 3) and they should be used on a very smooth surface. If the bottom of your tub is textured, they won't stick and slip under your feet.

I have a medium sized bath tub and I bought a lovely whale shaped bath mat, maybe not the best in terms of coverage but it was so adorable. I have "unsafe and open" areas on the front and back of the tub and was hoping some of these would help provide a non-slip grip. I've read mixed reviews of these handy points. True, they slide a bit on my bathroom floor as others have said. However, they stay in place well enough that children don't slip until they're wild in the tub, which they shouldn't be anyway, as that in itself is another safety concern. The colors of these suction cups are perfect! These are the bright colors I was looking for for our kid's bathroom and they are big enough to cover most of the tub floor. As with the "hot" message on the red bar, the word "hot" will appear if the water temperature is not cold. It actually turns white when the water is really too hot for the baby. This was not what I was hoping or expecting, even after reading all the details. As you can see in the picture, there are solid color circles and a lighter color in the center. The smaller ones became like solid color polka dots but the white around them became muddy and dirty and I don't think I can get a nice pure white, it doesn't look pretty.
