I wish I had read the reviews before buying. The tails are a huge problem and I don't see why they need to be detachable. I finally convinced my kids to stop pulling their tails after the first two days. However, any number of games with them will inevitably break tails. The tiny part that actually goes into the pony's back is too small and now they are broken inside. I'm so disappointed I spent over $20 on them and now the tails are breaking off. My children are so sad.

My daughters LOVE this. We opened them yesterday and they were so excited. The big problem is tails. They came off so easily that every time one of my girls played with one of them she had to mend her tail. I thought I could fix it. I glued them. Spring. It's been less than 24 hours since we opened the box and all the tails have broken off. I am very sad. We bought this set and kept the pony in the closet that our daughter could "buy" with the points she earned for good manners, help, study etc. It was such a big hit. They are really a good size and look so cute. The only reason I took off a star for "value for money" is because the pony hangs on the hook from time to time. However, you can easily put them back in and our 3 year old doesn't mind. I highly recommend it! The colors are so vibrant and this is one of the most beautiful sets we have.
