Description of ๐Ÿ”’ Nanuk TSA Approved Case Lock: Travel Securely with this Innovative Lock Solution

Our new and improved TSA accepted customizable three dial combination case lock offers the security of a padlock but can easily be opened and inspected by airport security and then locked again. The improved design of the TSA accepted lock makes it easier to install and fit on all our Nanuk case models. Silicone tether keeps the lock and hardened steel shackle together when unlocked. Nanuk case locks bear the travel sentry red diamond logo indicating to security personnel that the case can be opened for inspection during travel using the appropriate keys.

The shaft is not long enough!

Shank is 1/4" smaller. You will need to make the lock shank 1/4" longer or two sizes. The thickness of the shank is amazing. Reason for review isn't long enough. I have 15 different ones Tried on Pelican and Apache cases, none of them worked for me except one, the one that fitted was very welcome, allowing the case to be opened wide enough to pull out some of the contents.

Great fasteners for the beautiful Pelican Air 1535

Fits perfectly with my new Pelican Air 1535 case! The locks themselves feel solid and together with the Pelican TSA locks give me peace of mind that my gear is not easily accessible to strangers, whether I'm carrying a suitcase on board (99%) or checking it in (unlikely). ). The shackle with the lock closed gives room to wiggle, but not too much. Aesthetically they look good on the case, although I would like the engineers to make the lock body shorter and better balanced.

I would love to love this lock

This lock is great and I'm so disappointed that it doesn't work with the Pelican Vault V700. I like the cylindrical shape, but it's only a few millimeters shorter and doesn't snap into place. Hopefully I can find something similar as it certainly adds a nice security element to cases you just can't expect. padlocks. The only negative issue I had was actually Revain - instead of packaging the product like ANY OTHER PURCHASE they simply put a label on the back making the instructions illegibleโ€ฆ

The perfect lock for tough cases!

Perfect lock for Pelican and Rtic hard cases (the brands I use them with). I like the fact that the profile keeps it close to the case and leaves little room for the case to open in engagement. I've used similar tether style locks which leave too much slack for the case to open and smaller tools/parts to fall out (I use my tool cases and check them when I'm on air travel and items have fallen after like that tsa will pass it and they don't fasten the case fasteners properly). There's nothingโ€ฆ

Disappointing - the silicone cable didn't survive a flight!

UPDATE: I have contacted Nanuk and they are sending replacement cords. The one that remained survived the return flights. So I'm increasing my rating based on their customer service. First review: I bought locks to use with their 950 hard case. The silicone cable didn't even survive one flight! The suitcase was intact and the locks were in place, but if security guards opened the one without the tether, they were unlikely to be able to hold the shackle and lock together. Let's see if I can getโ€ฆ

One of the best locks on the market

I travel most of the year and fly every two weeks. Other than that, I've used pretty much every type of TSA approved lock you can buy. I have never had any problems with these locks. I use them on a Pelican Air 1615 case. They work as intended, once you lock them and turn the dials they stay locked and don't move. As with other cable locks anyone can cut this cable and gain access but not with these locks, once locked there is very little room to get in there and try to cut it. They failed when

Sturdy industrial construction

ADVANTAGES: Sturdy construction. CONS: Heavy. Bulky. Cannot maintain a tight seal unless the electrical latch is engaged. The tightness problem can be solved if Nanuk supplies rubber bushings to close the gap between the shaft head and the cover. The thickness of the sleeve must be greater than the gap so that it presses the lid against the lid gasket but does not interfere with the latch snapping. Of course, the best solution would be to fit Nanuk TSA Power Claw replacement locks. But at aโ€ฆ
