Great GPS Antenna: Accessory

I work in a prison and we have walkie-talkies with long GPS antennas. I needed some sort of antenna so I could clip the radio to my belt and the antenna wouldn't stick out too far. They are great and worked the way I wanted them to.

Pros
  • Connector Type: SMA Female; Range: 700MHz, 800MHz; Frequency range: 764-870MHz
Cons
  • Long delivery

good short antenna in accessories

Works great with my Motorola APX4000 radio. I still carry my long antenna in my gear bag in case it might go into a dead zone and the last thing an officer wants to do is lose connection. I gave one to my partner and also gave one to my wife. We can attach our walkie-talkies to tac vests and the long antenna won't sting your face.

Pros
  • Antenna length: approx. 9.7 cm/3.8 inches; Kit includes: 2 short short antennas 7-800MHz
Cons
  • Protection

APX 7000 radio suitable for accessories

APX 7000 is on patrol. It works great and hasn't encountered any signal loss issues (outside normal dead zones). If you wear an external vest, just note that it is not flexible and does not bend easily. Therefore, place the radio in a location where the antenna will not rub against the inner surface of the biceps. I've had it for 4 months now and no problems. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • 7-800 NAR6595A short GPS antenna for Motorola Walkie Talkie radio
Cons
  • No

APX 7000 radio best in CB and talkback radios

APX 7000 is on patrol. This works great and hasn't encountered any problems with signal loss (except for the usual dead zones). If you wear an external vest, just note that it is not flexible and does not bend easily. Therefore, place the radio in a location where the antenna will not rub against the inner surface of the biceps. I've had it for 4 months now and no problems. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Issues encountered
