Second Class Wax

This is definitely not the 444 wax I'm used to. The texture of granola straight out of the bag is gooey, sticking to my spatula, my hands, everything. Also, I can't get a smooth finish with this wax, it behaves more like a 464 wax and definitely notices more wet spots. Also, I've noticed that when I melt batches of this wax for my jars, I find chunks of junk in the wax that need to be scooped out of the crucible. So much for saving a few bucks.

Pros
  • All Natural Wax
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Nice for Soy Container Candles

I found that this wax melts at a lower temperature than 100% soy wax with no additives but it still needs to be heated to a higher temperature ( 190-200 degrees) when flavor is added. After pouring and setting there were sometimes air bubbles or small holes on the surface of the wax which I removed with a hair dryer to melt the surface and dry it smoother. When burning candles, this wax burns nicely more evenly, with a smoother appearance than 100% soy wax, which sometimes appeared blotchy, and

Interesting

I have a business candle and only use soy wax. Something is wrong with this soy wax. It's not clear what soy wax was supposed to be (obviously a yellow tint), it's VERY runny. Came in a hefty bag with no soy labels. I cannot sell my product without soy labels. Like I said, I've made this 1000's of times and I've never come across this type of soy wax that's soupy. As my tarts cool, the wax separates. I heated it up even more and it still looks defragmented. Needless to say I had to re-order…

Pros
  • Excellent soy wax
Cons
  • Little things
