These were super cute, and I really was happy with them at first. I purchased two boxes and hand-painted the ornaments to give out as gifts. The morning after I painted them, about a dozen of them (maybe a few more than that) were cracked. Some of them cracked near the drilled hole, making them unusable. I'm not sure if it was the paint drying that caused them to crack, but they are advertised as crafted ornaments meant to be painted. The ones that did not crack still made great gifts, but how…

The wood has a strange green/blue smear on most of it. I think it's maybe the grease from the saw used to slice them. I can't get it to come off and I use these pieces to make holiday ornaments. So maybe only 1/4 of the pieces are usable. Plus, they have a weird sparkle on them almost like fiberglass but that can't be it. Overall disappointed

I run a support group for families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss and we do memorial ornaments every year. This was a fun, modern way to memorialize these sweet babes. They were easy to paint, a little tough to thread the string through, but the price was definitely worth a little hassle!

These wood slices are exactly what I was looking for! They are the perfect size for all of my crafting desires. However, I am only giving them four stars because I want to give them out as Christmas gifts next week and there wasn’t any twine or string included in my package like it said there would be. Now I will have to pay additional money to buy twine or ribbon in time for Christmas. Otherwise, this is a great product!

These wood slices are great quality and perfect for making painted ornaments. There are very few imperfections — maybe a bit of chipped bark here and there, but that’s to be expected. I didn’t experience any splitting or cracking after painting. Overall, great value and I will certainly be buying more!

They were just what I needed. I used them for personalized ornaments for all my great nieces and nephews at our family Christmas.

Nice quality and came just as described. I use it for putting customized cut out vinyl and it works well for that purpose. Although very few came with some small cracks from the outside, I think it is part of the character of being real wood.

Product continues to fall apart with the slightest touch. Extremely soft "bark". Not sturdy at all, cute but not sturdy.

Much smaller than I thought but I was able to use the ones that didn't break. The wood slices had a very rough, unfinished texture that required a lot of sanding and polishing before they were usable. Some cracked even after I treated them.

Good size and smooth. Unfortunately after painting them, several started to randomly crack while just sitting on the table. Very disappointed with that.

I've purchased from this company multiple times, the ornaments are great quality and are sturdy and thick. Very good value for the money.

Not the first time I have ordered this product, however, I was very disappointed with it this time around. I use these slices to make wooden ornaments in my classroom and I had to remake multiple ones because they cracked after we painted them. Luckily, I had a few left over from last year but it was very frustrating.

Perfect. I use them for my Etsy shop. Great quality, very consistent slices, smooth wood for painting or whatever you choose to do with them. Love that they came with twine as well as ribbon for hanging!
