Description of ๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ Geekstory GT-U7 GPS Module with EEPROM: Enhanced Navigation Satellite Receiver for Arduino, Raspberry Pi Flight, and Drone Applications+

In the ordinary GPS receiver module can not locate the place, such as narrow urban sky, dense jungle environment, GT-U7 can be high-precision positioning. GT-U7 module, with high sensitivity, low power consumption, miniaturization, its extremely high tracking sensitivity greatly expanded its positioning of the coverage. With a USB interface, you can directly connect it with computer. That is, with the host computer-owned serial port function, no need for external serial module. USB directly connected to the computer, That is, with the host computer-owned serial port function, no need for external serial module, send IPX interface active antenna. This GPS Module is great for vehicle-mounted, handheld devices such as PDAs, vehicle monitoring, mobile phones, camcorders and other mobile positioning systems sharing bike, sharing mobile power etc. Operating voltage: 3.6V-5V (or direct usb power supply); Operating baud rate: 9600 (can be modified)

excellent value for money

well thought out. easy to integrate. I use it over UART and USB for integration into professional and hobby projects. Fast start-up and minimal time to first repair.

Pros
  • electronics
Cons
  • infinitely slow

Quick and easy to use with Raspberry Pi

Serial 3.3V lines perfect for Raspberry Pi without adapter. An external antenna makes mounting the antenna a bit easier when the Pi or GPS module is not aligned. It syncs up quickly and seems to have pretty good accuracy with only a few meters of jitter. Highly recommended for Pi based GPS functions.

Pros
  • GPS System Accessory
Cons
  • Zero
