Very convenient, now there are so many mounting options!

It is very useful to have. Basically, you can mount a ton of things on or around the camera and essentially turn it into your own rig. There are countless ways to use it.

Meets the standard Accessories

I have this for my R6. My son has a small rig cage for his R5. This plaid fits in very well with a more well-known brand, but that's no surprise as Neewer consistently deliver excellent quality at a reasonable price. The cage mounts easily on my Canon R6 and fits almost perfectly. Enough space to access all buttons and controls, as well as the battery and SD card slots. This is a video game changer. I added the top and side handles, mic and lights to the setup and it all installed like a charm.

Durable, comfortable, makes your camera versatile.

Starting with the mounting options - the underside is also an Arca-Swiss mounting plate so it can be attached to any AS compatible tripod head. The top has a 1" NATO compliant rail as well as an open bottom cold shoe. There are places in the top corners for attaching straps etc. There are also plenty of threaded holes on the sides and top and bottom.
