Based on my experience as an IT professional, the industrial and scientific Netscout Aircheck G2 Kit is a game changer for checking wireless networks. The product is so user-friendly that you don't need advanced technical knowledge to operate it. The device's design is compact and sturdy making it easy to carry and use in various environments. Expensive but *good enough* to get a clear picture of the WiFi situation.

If you're even thinking about spending that much on a Wi-Fi tester, you're either a pro or (like me) just pissed off about Wi-Fi coverage /interference /performance problem you can't solve completely no matter what you try. There are phone apps that give you an idea of the channel, they call themselves "wifi analyzers", but they don't really tell the whole story - they just show the signal strength. and using the channel of access points in the field of view.
