New Balance Playgruv Running Virtual Girls' Shoes Review

My kid liked the look of these shoes but they were too big. My 10 year old daughter wears a Youth 7 and her foot is wide at the ball of the foot. Sometimes she complains that the shoes are too tight, so I tried 7 sizes. She tried them on and as she ran down the hall she immediately kicked off her shoe, which was too big for her. There is no way to tighten the elastic on them so I will be sending them back.

I bought these shoes mainly as a replacement for the others my son wears as they were very expensive ($20 at the time). However, now they have become his favorites! He loves wearing them and says he's as fast as a cheetah in them! Needless to say he hasn't worn anything other than these shoes since the day we received them. It's literally the only pair of shoes that has outgrown and not fallen off from the many brands we've tried. The highly flexible outsole adapts to our parkour monkey. The snug fit reduces toe drag and wear holes on the front. The lining eventually failed and curled up a bit on the inside. Not necessarily for wet weather, but we've used them for everything including hiking. Many, many miles in these shoes and they look as intact as the day we bought them.

I bought these blue and light blue New Balance accent shoes for my 9 year old. It was the style he wanted and they're comfortable, he says. They correspond to the size of his wide foot. He wears them every day and they are easy to put on and take off. I really like how the toe box is covered with thicker material. I'm glad to have received this. I would buy another pair when the time comes.

My daughter loves her shoes and jumps a lot. They're great colors. I've had them for a few months now and they still look good.

Good quality but I would like to know that it works so little. My son comfortably wears a size 10 from other brands, but this size 10 shoe runs small and is very difficult to put on.

Comfortable and light, my 5 year old LOVES these shoes. You walk on the narrow side, so I suggest going for the WIDE option if your little one has powerful or wider feet.

They're great shows and seem to be holding up pretty well despite the daily use they see. My son says they are very comfortable and refuses to wear anything else unless asked to do so. I definitely recommend them. At first they were a bit big. Summer, but he grew into her. I would say they are true to size or maybe a little big.

I thought some of the models they made looked a little generic in the photos but I was really surprised at how good these little shoes really are. Well made and very durable. Also a very good price.

My son needs wide shoes, and even with a wide width, they weren't wide enough. I took a chance when they were so cheap and now he can't wear them and I can't return them. I wish they were a better fit because he loves them

Cute but not as roomy as other New Balance shoes of the same size. My child has options and therefore does not want to use them.

Our toddler has wide feet so finding wide shoes is difficult. Bought size 10 wide. He needed good football boots, they fit great and he loves them. I think the bungee style is my favorite part because they are so easy to put on!

Like many boys, my son is very picky about shoes. I decided to pay a little more for these shoes thinking the brand and quality would stand up to its rough houses. I bought them for a 7 year old kid for school last year. They last all year and all summer. He was upset when I told him I was going to buy him new shoes for school, so I was glad to find them still in stock!

My daughter loves these shoes and so do I! They wear well and wash well. My daughter puts them on herself to make her feel like a big girl.

The only great thing about this shoe is that it is easy to put on and the child does not have to worry about lacing during the day. There is no type of padding in the insole.

Very easy to put on and take off for my 3 year old, hold tight, no velcro comes off. I wish New Balance had more of these shoes, I would buy 20 pairs!

The bungee cord does not stretch at all. It was very difficult to get my son up. Love the new balance for my kids but this needs improvement on the laces.

Camouflage looks better in real life. Slips easily into shoes and is very light. I wish the elastic laces could be adjusted. However, I find the price a bit too high.
