As an arthritis sufferer, out of shape, overweight, elderly woman, I'm always looking for shoes that fit, support on ALL sides, are stable and comfortable. and that I can adjust my custom orthopedic insoles. I knew I found her as soon as I tied her up. Even better when I got up and then went inside. The best hiking shoes I've found since 1986. Where was I?

I already have NB 1400 V1 hiking shoes but I don't like them for summer so I ordered them. They are exactly the same except they are not big. Why 4 stars: The laces are slippery and too short. I have high arches and insteps, so I always have to change my laces. Also, I hate that NB always puts cheap, removable foam inserts in their shoes and then charges extra for the shoes. I always have to throw out the insoles and replace them with good insoles, which I think everyone does. Not a big deal…
