Enhanced Machinist Steel Square Workshop Review

This little square would be handy if it was square. I compared it to my reference which is within a 0.0004" square and this small one was deflected by about 0.019" by just 2" at the outside corner. 0.001" but it took about 1/2 hour. So if you get the chance to make this square and don't take the time to fix it then you are here. If you are after something small and square then this might work for you IMO just cutting the dovetail accurately is not enough.

The best thing about this product is its price. Compared to the squareness of some recent 1-2-3 blocks, the inside squareness appears normal on the inside compared to the outside squareness, which is clearly mismatched. The tool also has a number of visible manufacturing or manufacturing defects indicative of the build quality. I have tried to give examples of these imperfections in the attached photos.
