New Star 54484 Commercial Suction Review

I have one of these for my home bar as I am entertained often and can't fit my hands in a Collins glass. It works well and is easy to clean, but I'm not getting a good seal on my suction floor sink. This isn't really a problem as I don't mine industrial size glassware.

I've used 2 bottle brushes before and when I came across these I thought why not. Bottle brushes can only do 1 at a time. This item makes cleaning bottles and spill-proof cups a breeze. The suction power is amazing. Lasted over 12 hours vacuuming on a granite/quartz sink. I am very happy that I can cook children's meals in half the time. Extra time is something you don't get much of with a 9 month old.

I work as a dishwasher in a B&B hotel. I bought this to use on all our glassware. It really is better than just washing your hands. That saves me a lot of time! However, as others have pointed out, the suction cup is not always reliable. IMO it's not the fault of the suction cup, but rather the condition or contour of the surface it's applied to. I just squeeze or squeeze it when needed and keep washing.

I use this with a variety of clear beers and the glasses stay sparkling afterwards. A lot of people say it has no suction and they are right. I screwed mine to the bottom of the bucket with silicone and it works great. To be honest it seems like it was meant for use in a bucket as the 3 gallons recommended for mixing the cleaner fills the brushes perfectly when used in a 5 gallon bucket.

I really like this brush set. It's really easy to clean glasses with it. The suction cup works quite well. I've dropped it a few times but I think that was just because I didn't secure it well enough to begin with. Pour a few inches of water into the sink before pushing in the brushes to ensure the suction cup is secure. I've used them in restaurant kitchens and bar sinks. I was so happy to get one to take home as my aging hands and severe arthritis make me anxious to wash my glasses - plus the risk of constantly slipping and soapy slipping. I love using it and as a Therapist (OT) I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys using glassware, mostly hand washes dishes and needs peace of mind.
