Bought this camera for my wife. She never reads product manuals and with the Coolpix S4000 there is no need to read any manuals. The operation is very intuitive. In terms of image quality, the camera produces very rich colors, razor-sharp images that are well lit. Even when using a body-worn flash, the camera produces good light balance. This is a great little point and shoot. I was looking for a second camera to photograph the very realistic dolls that I draw and sell. I used Coolpix S4000 and got good results but decided to try another 20MP Nikon. It was awful - all the photos were blurry so I sent them back within 24 hours of receiving them. What I liked about this camera when I first looked for it was: 1) 3.0 display 2) the fact that it's touch sensitive 3) a fairly small camera 4) Average, good ratings So it really has all that stuff.
