I knew this wasn't an official Dyson tool but at this price I thought it was worth a try. It fits my v6 without a cable but not as well as the tool that came with v6. At the same time it works well. There was no loss of suction, no suction problems. For the price it's worth it.

Perfect for my Dyson cordless. However, it doesn't seem to work as well as my original Dyson grout tool (which I lost when I ordered it but have since found it). I think the long notch on the end of this tool weakens the suction power. If I had to do it all over again, I'd spend a few bucks more for a real Dyson crevice tool.

Crevice tool: Bought to replace a lost crevice tool for my Dyson DC56 portable. This replacement is not marked as a Dyson OEM product and is slightly smaller in diameter than the original. Therefore the fit is a bit loose. It snaps into place but doesn't fit perfectly and doesn't seal perfectly. It's functional but not great.

Slight modification to the tape around the end and it doesn't rotate. Otherwise it will become too fluffy and loose. It snaps at the end, but not snugly. I use Dyson in my cleaning shop and a crevice tool is essential. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I emphasize how expensive it is to replace them, the staff keep them. This is a great alternative.
