I use them during application. I align the color change as a line of sight. If you put them on a flat surface when you hit them straight and the balls are rolling straight, you can see the balls rolling. If the colors start to fluctuate, you're wrong.

Please understand that these are NOT expensive tour caliber balls. It's not a $35 ball for dz. That's what they are: a two-piece soft-touch ball with low compression and good durability, and they're totally different from the ones you've played with, but they add a unique touch to every game dimension added.
