NixOS is a Linux distribution with a unique approach to package and configuration management. Built on top of the Nix package manager, it is completely declarative, makes upgrading systems reliable, and has many other advantages.
I like that everything can be configured via command line or using ncurses (I use this for all my servers). The only problem I have found so far is being able to easily add new packages after booting into an existing system for the first time; however, there are ways around this if you know where they live in /etc/nixos-configuration/* files. If you're looking for something highly configurable then definitely give this distro a try! We've been running multiple virtual machines as well asβ¦
