The fan looks and feels good. All screws and parts are included so installation was easy. I installed it on my Synology DS408 NAS. Unfortunately, the NAS does not recognize the operation of the fan and beeps. I just disabled the fan warning on the NAS. I wish the fan would be recognized by the NAS (1 star deducted for that). The airflow is actually better than the original fan. It is no louder than the original fan, but delivers more air. UPDATE 4/2/2020: I bought it on December 1st, 2019. On…

I've found my new gold standard in quiet case fans.

I bought the Noctua NF-A8 FLX 80mm fan to replace the standard fans in my Synology NAS box to provide more airflow and quieter cooling for the always-on NAS box to offer. I'm an experienced computer builder and tech-savvy, but this was my first experience with Noctua fans. I was very impressed right out of the box. Excellent quality and incredibly quiet

I have this fan to replace the original cooler in my Behringer iNuke 3000 amp. The original cooler was very noisy even at base load. I have an amp setting in a home theater app so the default fan volume is unacceptable. I switched the cooler to Noctua. All I can say is WOW. The fan is completely inaudible in its idle state AND under load. Of course, I don't think it moves the CFM like a standard cooler does, but I haven't had any thermal overload issues yet. I would definitely recommend this to

You can't go wrong with Noctua

I've always read good reviews of Noctua products and at first glance these fans lived up to expectations. The packaging is premium, visually appealing, easy to open and well thought out on the inside. The scope of delivery includes not only a 4-pin power supply, but also a long extension cable and two rubber-insulated extension cables. The kit also included stainless steel screws and rubber mounting posts for additional noise cancellation. Anyway, I removed the OEM fans from my Synology 5-Bay…
