I wanted a salt shaker and didn't notice that this product is advertised B. "Salt or Pepper". This means that the size of the spreader's opening must be compromised. In fact, the openings are too big for salt and it leaks out. And while the quality is acceptable, the shaker is "restaurant quality" and it appears it should sell for around $1.50. I'll look for a replacement.

This is your ordinary everyday salt shaker, nothing special. And I wanted that. I've only used sea salt for years. Usually sea salt comes with its own grinder or I put the salt in a small bowl with a small spoon. But of course I did find sea salt with iodine on Revine, and it was the same size as regular table salt. I bought this salt shaker for this and it works wonderfully.

I bought it as a table salt shaker. The holes are too big and too numerous for Morton's table salt. Without shaking, just turn it upside down and a heap of salt will flow out continuously for a few seconds. Also, 1/8 teaspoon of salt will get trapped between the lid and shaker and spill when you unscrew the lid. Shaker that splashes when unscrewed.
