Don't bother replacing the blender jar - too thin

The bottom of the jar is so flimsy and flimsy that the hand blender sucks it into the underside of the blades. No matter how I tilted or held the hand blender, it had this problem. I poked a hole in it for two weeks of use.

calibration error?

Why buy a measuring cup? degree of course. Don't you expect these measurements to be accurate? The scale of this product appears to be slightly off. Since when is 4 cups or 1 pint = 1 liter or 1000 ml? I'm not sure which scale is wrong, but they shouldn't match. There is also no scale for ounces. At least one side must be in ounces and not an improperly calibrated metric.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Hard to say

Measurement guide inaccurate

On the product I received 8 oz is actually 9 oz; 16 ounces is actually 18 ounces; 24 ounces is 27 ounces and 32 ounces is 36 ounces. The device is flexible and weighted on the bottom for stability, but I kept spilling the contents unless I used two hands due to the added weight of the liquid I was pouring. This product can be used for specific purposes (e.g. pouring out thick dough) after appropriate settings.

A measuring cup that is NOT accurate! Buyer Warning.

Do not buy if your recipes call for accurate measurements. 1) 1000ml is NOT 4 cups as listed on Norpro Measure. 2) Using a Pyrex 4 glass measuring cup, I poured a cup of water into the Norpro silicone measuring cup. Up to 5 cups, EVERY additional measurement became inaccurate. For example, 2 cups in my Pyrex measuring cup is about 1 3/4 cups in Norpro. This Norpro silicone measure is COMPLETE not only in "cups" but also in "milliliters"!

Amazing size! the best in meters and scales

I am really impressed with this silicone measuring cup. I couldn't find any others in this size for my epoxy drawings that I make. I could only find 2 cups and 1 cup. I found this one and it's better than the other cups I have for pouring. It doesn't deform when I add epoxy and stir. It keeps a firm but thin soft shape and it's easy to clean off the excess epoxy that always ends up on the bottom of my other silicone measuring cups which lose their shape and make it a little difficult to measure

Walls too thin for this amount of liquid

Save time and avoid this. Norpro is usually associated with the highest quality, but not in this case. silicone gauge made too cheap; thin walls make it impossible to pour liquid without spilling something. The simple movement of the cup compresses the walls so much that the liquid can spill over. Interesting calibration error

Great mug I bought to clean scrambled eggs and things like that in the microwave. I had to cut about an inch off the top to fit in a small microwave, but I expected that and you can use regular scissors to cut the silicone material. An interesting thing about calibration. In all my 70+ years of experience, a cup has always been 8 oz or 236 ml. This thing is calibrated so that there are exactly four cups per liter, making a 250ml cup. If you look at other Asian products, they seem to be the…

Advantages and disadvantages. on Kitchen Gadgets & Gadgets

Pros: Fully satisfied with the flexibility of silicone, accepts hot liquids in the microwave without damage and pours easily. Cons: There is a problem with attaching measurements to the sides. The milliliter and liter (metric) markings are usually on one side, while the cup, ounce, and quart (US) markings are on the opposite side. I've used Pyrex measuring cups to check sizes, which I've used in every recipe for 30 years with no problems. 4 cups of water poured into Norpro in Pyrex equals 4 1/2
