The device produces shredded corn.

In August I processed 100 liters of sweet corn, 50 percent of which was processed with this machine. When I went back to the blade board it was better but dangerous because you can cut your finger that way and I did. Coming back to the knife, it's the best curler but the least efficient, but it gently removes the corn from the cob. They grind the kernel, more like creamy corn. Not what I want.

Pros
  • Attractive look
Cons
  • Discontinued model

a lot of wasted corn, hard to handle

Very sharp, strong but not worth the effort. dangerous. It takes some effort to set it up properly. Faster, easier and less corn waste with a sharp knife. Very disappointing. I was hoping to clean 50-100 ears at a time with this tool. Just did it the old fashioned way

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Working speed

The product is defective - I do not recommend it

I have been using this product for many, many years - as the blade has become dull I have bought two Norpro cutters. The blade of both knives bent during use. The first blade pierced 2 ears of corn, the second fell on the first ear. The corn has been blanched and the blade should be easy to work with. I have attached a photo of the two broken cutters along with my original. This is not the result of user error. I cannot recommend this product.

Pros
  • It is a pleasure
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Blade bends slightly: peeler

Finally got around to using this device for this year's corn harvest. Unfortunately I didn't get far. As other reviewers of this product have reported, the blade bends very easily. It lasted about eight ears, then the blade bent inward, rendering it unusable. I've tried bending it with pliers, but unfortunately after bending it keeps bending slightly in the same place. I would not recommend this grinder to anyone who wants to use it to remove corn kernels from the cob.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small household
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for older people

save your money suitable for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I had a couple of corn trimmers that I had used for a number of years and decided it was time to scrap them and buy new and maybe better ones. So I found them and ordered 2 so I have a good supply. I started husking corn this morning and after the first 4 corn cobs the cutter came loose so they were useless so my old ones went in the basement and upstairs. Used them for the next 60 ears and they worked fine. I tried to get to the site to speak to customer service but there is nowhere to do it…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Update Availability

on YouTube. I was able to repeat this process fairly quickly and dig up a good 3 dozen cobs of corn in about 10-12 minutes without leaving any half-cut or weird kernels on the cobs. The only thing I don't like is that the curved blades tend to pop out in the wrong positions. This could very well be the nature of the beast and I was able to get around it without much effort and is the only catch on a great product that did exactly what it was supposed to do. I wish I hadn't waited so long but I…

Pros
  • . New

my sixth cob broke

I've had one of these cob cutters for a few years and they work great. I just met up with some friends to make 21 dozen ears of corn. To gather friends, I bought a second one to process 21 dozen ears, but I didn't use the new one. Four days later I processed 10 dozen ears. I used my original corn cutter for about 4 dozen and decided to try my new one. The new one broke on the 6th ear that I wanted to work on. There was a small dent in the butt and the edge caught there and bent the cutting…

Pros
  • very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
