As described. Fits perfectly on my Makita 7" polisher. Polished all kitchen granites with no issues. I didn't notice any wear after polishing about 62 square feet of granite, so I suspect I'll be using this pad for a very long time.

Appears like steel wool and has a rough finish but will not scratch countertop surface. We use this with a buffing machine which applies the polish evenly to the countertop and removes the dull finish. After sealing, the worktop looks like new. This is a quality underlay and we believe it will outlast the life of our worktop.

I had a 4" x 2" piece of dark granite that needed to be crushed and cut for a friend/client. After being cut and diamond polished to 3K, the stone regained its polish and looked very nice but did not shine or crack like a pristine piece of stone.
