Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!

Here is what I finished / installed in the system: 1. indicator-multiload to display CPU/disk/memory usage (there are no activity lights in the laptop at all) 2. touchpad-indicator to disable the touchpad when typing or connecting a mouse 3. classicmenu-indicator - to display the traditional start-menu 4. special procedure for enabling the win-key, search for the word dell-super-key

Pros
  • Small, light, cheap. Silent, fanless, but at the same time smart enough! Convenient arrangement of editing/moving keys (arrows, Delete, Home/End, etc.) Ubuntu Linux 16.04 out of the box! You can upgrade the RAM up to 8GB.
Cons
  • Battery life did not live up to expectations - less than 4 hours with active Internet use without video (ubuntu Linux out of the box). There is no touchpad disable button.

Chose on a simple basis. 11-13 inches, at least 4 oz and NOT FHD (pixels don’t scare me, but the resolution really affects battery life) - it will be the very first in the market for these characteristics, if ordered by price. Yes, if we don’t talk about resolution, then anyway this one will be the first of the normal laptop companies (Acer, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus). The screen would be of better quality, and a couple of penny indicators - it would be an ideal price / quality ratio.

Pros
  • Small, light, good keyboard and touchpad. Fast, not stupid at all (still on Ubuntu). The ability to plug in 8 gigs of RAM instead of 4. Large native memory (128, 110 available), and you can plug in a microsd for the same amount. Strong, dense. How many laptops Digma and Prestigio watched - all crunched in their hands, they were frankly weaker in terms of design. This one is very good. The size for working in transport is the most, maybe an inch more would also fit, but nothing more.
Cons
  • The screen is quite garbled. It is clear that it is not ips, but I did not expect such small viewing angles. As for the battery - I thought it would work longer, while it turns out 4-5 hours of work on the Internet (it seems that it should work longer on Win10, later I'll try to roll the second system). Saved on indicators :(
