The Novoflex Magic Ball is the most innovative and easiest to use ball head available! You have instant access to 85% of spherical rotation without the need for vertical notches. Gear moves effortlessly and smoothly. Simply rotate the large point and fix handle, move your camera into position and with a simple twist, it locks into place. Suitable for both 35mm, Medium Format Cameras and Video Cameras with large lenses weighing up to 22 lbs. Add independent panning with the addition of a Novoflex Universal Panorama Plate. Wt: 2 lbs. No essential parts for the price

Great idea but needs a fast camera clamp and a way to rotate the head for panoramas to use effectively. Handle is too short

This is very high quality photographic equipment. As long as you don't put a really heavy camera/lens combo on it, it's fine. Very easy to use and very high quality product.

Versatile and durable

I love this ball head. It's so versatile and durable. Getting used to it also takes time. I do a lot of macro photography and this ball is fun to use with my Novoflex guide. I highly recommend this ball.

beautiful German applied arts/craftsmanship

beautiful German applied arts/craftsmanship. was used to using ball heads for panning and was concerned about very fine adjustments. but there is enough resistance that it is not a problem. Use coolpix A. Highly recommended. was $98 in stock trades
