🌀 Now Designs Turquoise Metal Colander, 3-Quart Review

It's really pretty but not durable. It started to rust on the first use. I have had this sieve for about three weeks now and there are already signs of use.

I thought it would be like those sturdy enamel strainers you see in real cookware stores. no Very cheaply made. There is already rust after ONE WEEK. I put it in the dishwasher and the color came off immediately. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Nice, but the quality of the painting leaves something to be desired - paint bubbles are visible on the screen. I also expected a better quality of metal as it is very light and not as strong as I expected for the price.

Update: It has been approximately six weeks since I purchased this item. One of the handles is loose, the sieve is rusting at the seams. I would not buy this item again and have downgraded my rating from 3 stars to 1. Not the quality I expected. The product is light. i love color Does what it's supposed to do, but worries about the durability of the product.

I have many colanders but this one is superior in quality, finish and value! It's the perfect little size to wash Brussels sprouts for two, or a container of blackberries, blueberries, or half a pack of strawberries. The kids are gone and we're only cooking for two. It's the perfect size and durable tool for our kitchen. It's easy to clean, so I don't put it in the dishwasher.

Attractive and durable. It's not a large colander, I'd say a medium sized one, perfect for pasta or other meals for 2-4 people. If you cook more, you'll probably need a larger size. But I like that it has handles, is sturdy and can stand on its own. If you cook more, you'll probably need a larger size. Comfortable handles and solid base. And I love turquoise!

These are incredibly beautiful strainers, so much so that I keep them on my shelves. I know you can't wash them in the dishwasher, but I didn't realize that until I bought one. I tried washing it off once just because I'm lazy and it damaged the enamel almost immediately. That's my fault but I wish they were easy to machine wash instead of hand wash.

Bought to replace a similar sized colander I found at IKEA over 20 years ago. My old one has finally started to rust around the edge. I love the color and size of this colander but I can tell you it won't last long. The handles dangled straight out of the box, they are thin metal and the holes were not properly smoothed out after drilling. It is varnished, not enameled and already has a scratch. As soon as it becomes unusable, I'll have to go to the nearest IKEA.
