Perfect for kittens <1 yr

Love and trust Royal Canin Kitten food for our adopted kittens! Proper nutrition, kittens love it, and just slightly more expensive than other brands. Totally worth it. Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago gave us a bag with my daughter’s foster kittens and we’ve been hooked ever since.

Pros
  • Helps reduce the risk of urinary tract infections
Cons
  • Not suitable for kittens with pancreatic issues

Kitty let’s you know when dish is empty!

Our kitten loves this cat food. It is a great brand and good value for the money. Gives her great shiny coat, and keeps her healthy.

Pros
  • We love this product but not sure why the price has doubled in 4 months. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Cons
  • Can cause bad breath in some kittens

Best crunchy food for cats!

This is the only brand of kibble I trust. It's also one of the few brands that our vet recommends. It's scary how bad most kibble is. This is a bit pricey but worth it in the long run! I trust this brand and the ingredients used.

Pros
  • HEALTHY ENERGY: Delivers a mix of proteins, minerals, and vitamins to meet the growth and development needs of this stage in a cat’s growth
Cons
  • May cause vomiting in some kittens

Pros
  • Supports strong muscles for their growth and development
Cons

Chicken By Products is an ingredient

My kitty loved the food but I didn’t care for the chicken by products in product. I googled what was in chicken by products and it was pretty gross. I switched her over to Hills Science Diet which doesn’t have the chicken by products ingredient.

Pros
  • One of the best cat food
Cons
  • Some kittens may have an allergy to a specific ingredient in this food

Preference of food.

This was recommended for a Ragdoll cat bug he really has not liked this cat food. Will return to previous purchase. I’m just more interested in a product my cat likes!

Kitty Loves Royal Canin the Most

This is the best value size (15lb) available at retail for a top rate cat food that my new kitten loves. She only got it as a treat sprinkled on top of a cheaper mix when she was fostered out by the shelter, but I switched her to pure Royal Canin Kitten (dry) as well as Royal Canin Kitten wet. She's almost 6-months old and will be on the Kitten kibble and wet formulas until she is 1. Then I plan on sticking with this brand and picking another adult formula, through her stages of life. I've…

Pros
  • Provides energy for active play and growth
Cons
  • Formula does not promote healthy immune function in kittens

Good product, but did not receive the full quantity

I ordered the 15 pound bag, but received 4 bags of the 3.5 pound bags…and although I’m grateful to have received it so quickly, I paid for 15 pounds and only got 14 pounds. Not the end of the world, but considering the cost of Royal Canin, every pound counts. Disappointed in that aspect, but do love the brand.

Pros
  • Balances a young kitten's diet for optimal health
Cons
  • May cause skin irritation in some kittens due to the use of artificial colors and flavors

Newly weaned kittens like Royal Canin

Even though pricy Royal Canin is great for my newly weaned kittens. one of my kittens will not eat the wet food the others like, he will only eat Royal Canin.

Pros
  • Free from artificial flavors and preservatives
Cons
  • Contains potentially allergenic ingredients such as wheat and gluten

Great Kitten Kibble

I used this, along with Royal Canin's canned kitten food and formula, to save and then raise two kittens we found in the hedge last summer. They have grown into beautiful young cats in good health and not too fat or too thin. Just as they turned one, they decided they did not like this any more! I have changed them to Royal Canin Indoor Cat kibble, which they now adore. Odd. But this kitten kibble was much enjoyed for their first year, and the very small kibble size was good even when they were

Pros
  • Helps improve digestion
Cons
  • Packaging is not user-friendly due to the difficulty of getting the last few kibble pieces out of the bag

Our kittens love it!

After other dry foods that our kittens would only reluctantly eat if they didn't like their wet food, they eagerly eat Royal Canin Kitten dry food! They also love the wet food! We are so relieved because they had been picky about other foods and I feared they weren't eating enough. Such a relief that they love this food. It's a little pricey, but compared with throwing out other foods they wouldn't eat,it's a bargain!

Pros
  • Includes natural flavors that entice kittens to eat
Cons
  • Some kittens may experience a lack of energy after eating this food

Good stuff good for me

I always like Royal canin's quality of ingredients, but I really don't know about the flavor because I've never tasted it! Although the cats seem quite pleased with it. As far as the scent goes I can smell it but it doesn't thrill me but it seems to thrill the cats.

Pros
  • 542535
Cons
  • May cause constipation in some kittens

My feral kitten ate Royal Canin food by preference. We made it through the antifreeze in animal food crap where almost all manufacturers had to recall except Royal Canin. They actually check their product to see if it has poison from ( large landmass south of the Soviet Union ).My 22lb kitten outlived all 4 siblings. I had to register as a cattery to be able to afford this brand but we weren't getting paid much back then, unlike these spoiled brats of today who get $15 just for getting out of…

Pros
  • Includes antioxidants for overall health
Cons
  • Formula does not promote healthy skin and coat in kittens

Expensive but worth it.

My kitten has been through a lot, surgeries, injuries, a whole lot. She has grown so healthy (for the most part) and I think this food has kept her strong.

  • Develops a shiny, healthy coat
