The battery failed and is now stuck on my controller. I've tried countless times to remove the screw to no avail. Because of this my Wii U sat in storage for quite a long time and couldn't play as I'm not sure if the controller can keep charging. I think I need to buy a new gamepad now.

Tried 2, power button does not work. Setting with 8 and 24 hours. Set the orange light to green. Used Wii u, tried with full battery and pressing power button, no light. Tried with a low battery and pressed the power button but it didn't light up. I came back first to try the second. This product was launched 7-8 years ago. So the dough is dead due to age.
