The lock is heavy in a good way and the bell on it works great too and can be bypassed if desired. If you shoot your bike in the ear, you know something is wrong. The lock is sensitive to movement and becomes noisy.

Very well assembled and works great. I liked the fact that you don't need a key to install the lock. You just have to use the key to unlock it. In addition, you can install it on your bike with the motion detection alarm on or off. The alarm is set based on how you engage the locking pin. It is very easy to install in either case, armed or unarmed.

This item is worth every penny. Very well built and has a loud alarm. When I went outside this morning I found that someone had cut the cable holding my bike to the ground. Without the disc brake lock-up, I would never see my bike again. The thief must not have noticed that it had a brake lock and it looks like they just dropped my bike and drove off as soon as it stopped rolling and the alarm went off. I'm so glad I decided to buy this and never leave my bike without it. Highly recommended!
