Sand texture is the best sunscreen for face

This new formula feels and has a "sandy" texture, making it a bit like a skin brush, especially when you try to use it on your face. I remember using it before and it was creamy - very soft. I wish he could go back to the OLD formula. I give 4 points because of the texture, I know it's a good brand with great quality but this particular item needs to go back to the old formula/texture. And if you decide to leave this formula, they change the price because it's too expensive.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Damaged

New active ingredients make it smelly and sticky

The product formulation resulted in a sticky and smelly sunscreen. For this reason I canceled my subscription. The new active ingredients are homosalate (10%), octisalate (5%), zinc oxide (16.5%), which will be distributed by Obagi Cosmeceuticals LLC, Long Beach, California. The legacy active ingredients were octinoxate (7.5%) and zinc oxide (10.5%) sold by Obagi Medical Products, a division of Valeant Pharmaceuticals North America, LLC, Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

they changed the wording; now it's terrible!

I've been using this product for over two years and it's my favorite sunscreen. I liked that it had a good concentration of zinc, but it wasn't really a white tint and was really matte. So when I got my last bottle I was very surprised, when I first opened the bottle I was hit with a horrible medicinal smell. then I realized something was wrong. When I put it on it was fat AF. Not at all what you want when you're spending $50 on 3 ounces of sunscreen. This material is seriously useless. Anyway,

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Fade

I have been using this sunscreen for many years, it is absolutely the best sunscreen. I need a good sunscreen because I get dark sun spots. This product minimizes my sun spots more than any other brand. And it doesn't feel greasy like the ones I bought at the high-end beauty salon at an inflated price. From time to time I try a different brand and always regret spending money on a different brand.

  • Weight

Not OG Obagi Stuff

Like other recent reviews, I ordered my favorite Obagi Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen that I've been using for almost 15 years and something is wrong. Either Obagi changed the formula or the last few games have gone badly. It's gritty, like it has sand in it, or what most drugstore scrubs look like; smells like cheap chemical sunscreen; and it's very oily :( I'm returning it and will do some research to find out what's going on because it's very good that I need to find a new…

Formula change end of 2019

Longtime users of this product ATTENTION! The recipe has been changed in this product, and not for the better! Compare the ingredients to your old product and you will see that the active ingredients are different. The product is now heavy, white, has a strong sunscreen odor and leaves a greasy feel on the skin, which is the complete opposite of the "matte" effect achieved with the previous formula. Don't waste money buying 3 tubes to find out like I did. Obaji needs to communicate this, at…

I love Obagi! for skin care

I have been using Obagi products for years, starting with my dermatologist's prescription. I trust the brand and have had no issues with the products even though I bought them from Revain and not a dermatologist. I don't use white sunscreen alone because I'm already white enough :))) BUT I mix it with Obagi's tinted sunscreen. After trying each one individually, I found that the white applied denser and lasted longer, but the tinted is so thin I have to reapply several times a day. For the low…
