Absolutely amazing device paired with FREE Google Voice!

Absolutely amazing device in combination with Google Voice. Small digression and note: This is a "free" phone service from Google. It really is FREE, but I'm using quotes because Google uses your "free" Gmail, Google Drive, and everything on it, including Google Voice-related content, for their advertising business (they're supposed to make money, and I get that... ). If Google isn't using "Your Stuff" these days, then just about everyone else, including the government, hears, posts, yells, and

They used to have a good OBi100/110 product. Now just a blackmail scheme

Unusable brick after a year. I am using OBI110. I was very happy with it because I could use my Google Voice account to make/receive calls. About 2 years ago I ordered an OBi202 just because it supports fax. As far as I know, the fax function was no better than the OBi110. What I didn't know before ordering OBi202 was that they had devised an elaborate method to extort money. Even though it's only $10/year, it's not mentioned anywhere when ordering. Both my OBI110 and OBi202 stopped working…

Obi202 review, bugaboo fix incoming calls and buyers beware.

I just bought this device after migrating my old landline to Google Voice. Everything went smoothly except that, as many others reported, the house phone didn't ring for incoming calls. Went to the Obi website and the ONLY advice they offer is to make sure Google Chat is enabled, which it was. Tried many other "meds" listed in reviews and online and came across this tip on Anveo.com site (kudos to them). This is "Tip 4" on the "How to fix no incoming calls on OBI device" page. In summary: 1…

The Obi202 works well with my analog fax machine.

SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) Analog Fax Users - You can disable landline phone service and save $$$ annually with OBi202! My Story: For the past 15 years, I've been paying my local phone company $50 a month for an analog fax line, which is rarely used these days. I'm not ready to give up the fax entirely, but the reduction in its use makes it difficult to justify it. I looked at internet fax services and liked their low monthly cost, but I'm sticking with the old school and prefer the…

Good device, fax fix, no real tech support

Update: June 16, 2019 This is a good device but lacks the tech support or troubleshooting from PolyCom. As others have said when dialing some phone numbers when the person answers all that can be heard is loud noise. I've found this issue to appear every time on a few phone numbers, most of which were AT&T cell phones. When I contacted PolyCom about the issue, they said they knew about it and blamed Google, while Google blamed PolyCom for it. Apparently this problem has existed for a long time.
