Love this paddle!: my feedback

I have the 8.5 lifetime Hydros. The paddle replaced the original! The kayak is rather wide. With this paddle the kayak steered straighter and a bit faster! Love it! Cost was a bonus!

Pros
  • I didn't know how awful my old paddle was until I used this one. Wish I would have switched sooner.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with limited upper body strength.

No paddle leash for my opinion

It's a very good paddle for the price. HOWEVER, the advertising shows it with a paddle leash. There was NO paddle leash when mine arrived, and I see that's true for other reviewers.

Pros
  • Unlike the Kayak, the paddles arrived on time & in good condition. No photo as it was a gift.
Cons
  • Alloy shaft may be prone to rust and corrosion over time.

Good basic paddle on my review.

This is a simple and effective paddle. Easy to put the two ends together and take them apart. Light weight. May not be as lightweight as other paddle options..

Pros
  • USERES FRIENDLY: The oar shaft is designed with a shrinking PE tube cover. It provides better grip for your hands to prevent blistering. Especially, your hands won’t suffer from the cold feeling from the alloy when you kayak in winter weather.
Cons
  • May not be as lightweight as other paddle options.

Too short for a 5’10” person with a wider kayak

Get a few extra inches if you’re tall or if you have a wide kayak. I had to get a completely different paddle because the longest of these wasn’t enough for me…. I kept bumping my knuckles on the ballasts and was leaning uncomfortably from side to side.

Pros
  • ‎1.08 Kilograms
Cons
  • Blade may not be suitable for kayaking in shallow or rocky areas.

These paddles look great!

We haven't had the opportunity to try these kayak paddles yet, but on visual inspection that appear to be strong and sturdy yet lightweight. The length should be just right and the materials they are made with should last based on what they looked like when they arrived. Will only know after some use how they perform and hold up over time.

Pros
  • WORRY FREE PURCHASE: OCEANBROAD offers complete customer satisfaction of replacement or refund for any quality issues.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for kayaking with two people.

Great for the price

These work just fine for the price. I have used them for my 12 1/2 ft kayak in strong currents and they worked great. I only give 4/5 because I wish it had more adjustability other then the 3 main settings.

Pros
  • Like that I can adjust the paddles out of phase to compensate arm rotation.
Cons
  • the metal is already looking worn only out about 6 times, grips cheap

u wont stay dry on my review.

if your buy this paddle, expect to get wet. The notch in the blade holds water, and as u can imagine, bringing that notch upward and angling it toward u will send that stream straight down your elbow and soak you. not bad if u expect to get wet tho. and its cheap.

Pros
  • Affordable: Compared to other high-end kayaking paddles on the market, this model is surprisingly affordable, making it a great choice for both beginners and experienced kayakers
Cons
  • May not be as efficient for kayaking at high speeds.

Just buy it! best in my review

Bought this to turn my paddle board into a kayak. Works great. I highly recommend. I love the variety of bright colors. Blade may not be as suitable for navigating through obstacles or currents!

Pros
  • Reliable Performance: Backed by a trusted brand and excellent customer reviews, this paddle is known for its reliable performance and high-quality construction, making it a top choice for kayaking enthusiasts everywhere
Cons
  • Blade may not be as suitable for navigating through obstacles or currents

Good budget paddle: my feedback

Quite a bit stiffer than the paddle that came with my kayak. Well worth the upgrade considering the price. ‎218 x 86 x 0.01 inches.

Pros
  • ‎218 x 86 x 0.01 inches
Cons
  • Blade may not provide as much surface area for more powerful strokes.

Not for big hands. best in my review

It needs a grip before you use it. A couple hours on the water and you'll have a blister or two. Longer and it will be a painful experience washing your hands. I have big hands and I have a grip on order for it. Great paddle but a little rough on the palms.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Blade may be too narrow for some kayakers' preferences.

Sturdiness on handling wave riding.

January 9, 2022 (Saturday) For the price I can't complain, totally awesome. I owned a $200.carbon fiber kayak paddle and it finally broke on me after 7 years. I use a 14' scupper pro for free diving and especially catching waves on the west side of oahu. Today the waves was breaking 6 to 8 feet and it past the test in getting out there quick before the next wave. Catching the waves was smooth. For the price I'll purchase another for backup. I give the paddle a thumbs up.

Pros
  • Unk
Cons
  • Blade design may not provide as much steering control as other options.

I have use different paddles in PR. Here they sell you any cheap quality paddle for $50+ This one is a lot better and very light. Whoever says is heavy is just a big LIAR! Anyways, here are my recommendations for you:Perfect for calm waters and/or a companion who doesnt have much stamina with inflatable. With hard shell you could use it in open waters as long as it is a lightweight kayak and with good tracking.I used mine with inflatable aquaglide 160 angler in windy conditions and open waters.

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • May not be as versatile as other kayak paddle options.

Good quality for the money

I reviewed 5-10 different paddles before settling on this one. After two outings that went a few miles each I'm very satisfied with the purchase. They come apart very easily and the leash is effective. Packaging was a bit strange, the box was 5x too big and got crushed pretty good but the paddles were untouched. I like that I could purchase 2 at a time and save some money. As novice kayaker just looking to get out on the water I definitely recommend this product.

Pros
  • ‎OKA1908PL03BK
Cons
  • May be difficult to control in windy or gusty conditions.

Good basic starter kayak paddle

We bought two of these and they came super fast. We went to an expensive sporting goods store first and had a heart attack at the cost of the high end ones. These aren’t carbon fiber but they are light weight and sturdy. Very happy with them.

Pros
  • Needed a longer paddle for easier kayaking. This one works great.
Cons
  • May not be as durable as other paddle options on the market.

Good product in my review

It is inexpensive and light. It is light enough for the kids to use yet strong enough for an adults power stroke. That's my review.

Pros
  • TOTAL LENGTH 218CM/86 Inches: It's ideal for narrow kayak youth paddlers( Please refer the the size chart). It’s also detachable at 2 sections, so you might carry it around and put it away easily.
Cons
  • May not be as buoyant as other paddle options.

Great for recreational kayaking

Accidentally left my paddles 2 hrs from my home so needed new ones. The size chart was very helpful in purchasing the correct length. Nice, lightweight paddles. The 'leash' that came with is fantastic. Great value. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Pros
  • Easy to use in the explorer k2
Cons
  • May not be as efficient in the water as other paddle options.

Great simple paddle

Easy to assemble and adjust. The lanyard is a great add on for kids learning paddle control or preventing loss.Paddle ends are durable and stiff as expected.

Pros
  • I use it as a rescue paddle in my peddle kayak.
Cons
  • Limited color options available.

great value in my review

Bought these for our inflatable kayak.just hour long paddles on lakes.nothing too adventurous, but I did paddle hard a few times to test the paddles. The paddles are not at all flimsy.very sturdy, so a really good value.

Pros
  • ‎Unisex
Cons
  • Blade may not be suitable for kayaking in extremely shallow waters.

Good value - my new review

Paddle has a very small amount of play where the two haves clip together but over all a great paddle for the price. May not be as durable against impact damage..

Pros
  • ‎37 Ounces
Cons
  • May not be as durable against impact damage.

Really, a good value in a kayak paddle

This is my second OCEANBROAD kayak paddle. The first is working out well, I needed something in another size for some paddlers.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble, light weight, and great for our kayaking trips
Cons
  • Leash may not be strong enough to secure the paddle in rough waters.
