I was really excited about this recipe box because the one I have is a bit dingy and doesn't have any dividers and the acrylic display seemed like a very handy feature. However, my package only arrived in a box containing just the bamboo box itself - no dividers, no acrylic. The box itself is very nice, but there was a crack on the lid. I could live with it if all the items promised were included, but unfortunately this item is going back.

I was a bit nervous seeing the reviews of poor quality/broken packaging but I bought it anyway because the price compared to others I had for $20 or seen more was amazing (outrageous! ). I received the box today and it arrived in perfect condition. I was very happy with this purchase. The wood is beautiful and has all of my recipe cards in it, plus space for others. I like the notch at the top to save the recipe you're working on. I only gave it 3 stars because after I filled it out, the first time I picked it up to get the recipe out, it fell apart in my hands and the cards fell all over the place. The box is of high quality and looks very nice. The interior space is large enough for many recipe cards. The separators are fine, but many of them have been replaced with new tape labels covering the old card labels, which I might add isn't very good. Bamboo is beautiful in color and attractive. The lid has a small magnet built into the lid that should keep the lid closed during normal use, but the magnet didn't work for me. I believe it was sunk too deep into the hole in the lid to avoid…

I have bought several of these recipe boxes because I still love paper recipes. They're pretty decent, but this particular box must be defective because it fell apart after only a few months - either the tiny staples didn't hold or the glue didn't hold. I wish I could write to Revain just to get a replacement item, but there is nowhere on this site to contact support for something like this. saw this review. box received. I like the design but the quality was very poor. The lid is misaligned (no adjustment possible as the hinges fit into pre-cut slots) and the hinges are very cheap. One of the hinges was also miscut and was not square on one end and was therefore hanging over the inside of the box exposing a sharp edge. The screws were also poorly tightened: one was slightly higher than the others. I wasn't expecting a $30 or $40 box to be $15, but come on, your quality control must be better…
