The dimensions are incorrect. I ordered XXL for my 36 lb dog based on measurements. She came in the measurements for XXL. It was sooooo. The waist belt hung a few inches below her stomach. The material is soft but thin. Update - I ordered 2 sizes down and my dog was tight. I ordered a size smaller (XL) and it fits. The only thing I don't like about it is that the waist strap is a big hard piece of Velcro and I'm afraid the rough edge of the Velcro will irritate your skin.

So I figured that if he lives in the Northeast with a twist he'd need a jacket for short walks and hikes. I bought these after buying some others that didn't fit or were too difficult to put on. With this jacket, I just leave the velcro attached at the neck, put it on Toby's head and fasten the velcro on his stomach. We used it regularly for about 2 months and it has held up great even after several washes. Now it has outgrown the size I originally bought and at 5 months I now buy XL. Great…
