Works Great!: Craft Supplies

Used to make a more durable cotton fabric for quilted bags. Works very well. It changes color slightly and the fabric feels rougher after application, but it's way better than anything else.

Definitely works!: Adhesives

I've attached some of the handmade luggage tags and travel makeup bags I've made. This works great, and a little goes a long way. The first coat leaves a matte shine, the second coat makes it semi-glossy, and the third coat is definitely glossy. I don't know how effective this single layer of material is, so I chose two just in case. So far no problems!

  • Great Choices

  • Hard to Tell

A good product. on crafting

I bought this to use on a makeup bag which when open is a large area to show all the makeup. small bag. it had to be waterproof so the bottle, which might leak or break, wouldn't contaminate other things. It came with an applicator that looked like a gift car or credit card. Used to spread the product in a thin layer. Three layers of the product make the product fully waterproof.

Interesting product!

I wanted to stiffen the quilted cotton parts of my bags and wallets and this is exactly what I was looking for. Fabric, but that's kind of what makes them "popular" - three light layers give the fabric a slight sheen. Really nice. A little touch of it also goes a long way. It's a semi-solid gel when you scoop it out of the jar, but when applied with a foam brush it just smooths out and forms a nice even finish on fabric.

Cool thing!

Really cool stuff. I applied 2 coats to the lycra cotton fabric I had. Very easy to apply and easy to dry. I used the card that came with the package to apply. I didn't use a brush. It's easy to see where you've applied. This changes the texture and feel of the fabric. For me it is normal, it has also changed color. Not in a bad way. I have attached photos for reference. I sealed it after 24 hours with a light press and teflon wrap. It feels good and is a bit stiff, especially due to theโ€ฆ

Nice product but here are some things to know.

I bought Odicoat for my COVID project: reupholstering kitchen chairs that have not been repainted since 1976. Since the chairs get a lot of use I wanted oilcloth, but it seems like everywhere I look the same 15 prints still appear and none of them were what I wanted. Ok I found some nice prints from South Korea but it was very expensive and the shipping actually doubled the cost. I ended up buying a heavy canvas from Spoonflower and decided to go the DIY route. Voila! odicoat. Because the jarโ€ฆ
