It works very well at neutralizing stale, pet and youth odors in carpets, futons and dog beds. Smells very good. I've bought various carpet powders and used regular baking soda and even very fine coffee grounds to absorb carpet odors, but this works much better. It's quite expensive, especially compared to dollar stores, but works better.

I bought this product to get rid of pet smells in three carpeted rooms in my new house. It just didn't work. This product is a surface deodorant only. This isn't for deep carpet deodorization, period. So if your pet caused the smell and you caught it quickly, this product will work and eliminate the smell. Do not use for odors that have been present for a long time and have penetrated to the bottom of the carpet.

1 bottle sprinkled a lot of powder on my extra large living room rug. It sucks very well and the smell it left behind was light and pleasant and didn't give me a headache like other powder cleaners have in the past. I wish I had more coverage from 1 bottle but other than that I would buy and use it again.

It's definitely effective at removing pet odors. It's easy to use everything quickly. I used it once a week on our bedroom rug halfway under our bed and it lasted about 6 weeks. (So 6 uses from 2 bottles.) In fact, using a box of baking soda is almost as effective and a lot cheaper. But the shaker and fresh taste are good and last longer.

We have 4 cats and 1 small dog. I used 2 full packs of carpet powder. I cleaned the animals before spraying it all over and left it for almost an hour before vacuuming it. When I vacuumed it, nothing smelled better. Instead I could spend $3 for 2 boxes of baking soda at Walmart and that would probably work better than this thing. Now my feet are just dusty. Unfortunately a big waste of money.
