but easily holds 20+ nappies

I wash nappies every 3 days and as I wash it fills up but easily holds 20+ nappies. (I use a Bumgenius, mostly pocket-sized, but some AIO.) I haven't used a charcoal filter yet because my baby is still exclusively breastfed and her diapers (and buckets) don't smell that bad yet. I've been using it for two months and I'm happy with everything so far! I use Thirsties diaper liners and they fit perfectly. I definitely recommend this diaper bin, I think it's worth the price compared to a regular…

So wonderful! for diapers

I don't usually review products but I had to come back to leave a comment for this one! It's so cool! We use a cloth diaper and I use a planetary pad in it, it works great. I can put diapers in about 2-3 days if I load them normally. I don't use the side clips much, but even without them I can sniff next to the bucket and smell ANYTHING! Place ours on top of a plastic trash can for easier access. We had tried the tall kitchen bin with the hinged lid before, but the whole room always smelled…

A nuisance when used in diaper baskets and spare parts

Negative - and that's a BIG negative!: It cannot be opened without the help of the hands. The entire lid has to be removed every time we add a new diaper to the bucket. This means that the odor is released with every diaper change and the carbon filter is nullified. It also means it's impossible to open/close them if you also need to keep your hand moving when the baby moves or have a handful of a dirty diaper. I always try to find at least one positive for every product I leave a negative…

Good quality on diaper pails

Delivery was quick, no damage. I have been using this product as a cloth diaper for about 6-8 months. I paired it with two Planetwise 13 gallon reusable bucket liners. Works like a boss. It also works well with 13 gallon kitchen waste bags for disposable items. I bought more than there were metal handles. I see that the one currently for sale is plastic. Metal handles close the pup tightly. I'm not sure how plastic grips can be so tight. It stops odors when closed. If you think this bucket…

Pros

Cons
  • Annoying

Received my bucket today, it came in a poorly packed box the below half open, revealing a bucket with a thin paper bag-like lid on top. Luckily it wasn't damaged, but it could easily break or get scratched. I tried it right away. The carbon holder is difficult to screw on, almost like it won't fit properly, as is the lid. I thought it might have been my bucket liner (I'm a regular drinker size) but I tried without the liner and I still had to force it shut and latch. I'll try it out for a few…

It's a cloth diaper pail!

After a few hours of research, I decided on this cloth nappy bucket and am very happy with my decision. I was skeptical about the zero smell everyone was reporting and couldn't be more wrong. Our bucket doesn't smell at all. Cloth diapers last about two days. We have two Planetwise pads, we use Bumgenius 4.0 diapers and Grovia cloth towels. Every other day we throw diapers, cloth napkins and a pad in the laundry. Once a week I clean the bucket as condensation can build up. After it dries, I put

The metal fasteners didn't fit the lid

Ex. Not bad, not great. This is a diaper pail and it has served its purpose. I liked that there's room for a charcoal filter, as well as a place to load those little slices of citrus to deal with the smell. Double duty, yes! It's also quite large so it lasted 3 days of my newborn cloth nappies even though I didn't use cloth nappies at night so maybe 2 days max is better? bad part? Even though it has those slices to lock in the smell (and it comes with a charcoal slice, not citrus), it doesn't…

Finally it stinks like poop

so I insisted on buying this unscented diaper pail (not cheap) for our first. I like that there is an activated carbon filter. I really like that it has locking handles to hold baby's arms while walking. Unfortunately, plastic absorbs the smell of poop and begins to literally emit the smell of poop. I'm not exaggerating. Our entire attic smelled of faeces for months. I tried baking soda. I tried to ventilate. I tried wiping it off. I tried essential oils (mostly it smelled like lime scent). I…
