OEMTOOLS 24472 Fluid Pump Siphon Review

The pump works well but a longer thread is needed. I can only hook one thread before the nut comes out of the top of the plastic drum 55. Is there a solution to this problem? Didn't want to bang the drum cause I have to go back.

Works as stated in the description. It's strong and durable. So far this has worked great. Easy to assemble and use. I use them in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. It has changed our lives since the water supply is cut off. I installed it on a 55 gallon plastic barrel and can distribute water throughout the house. This is a useful pump and I am very happy with it.

The pump is installed on a 15 gallon drum and is used to pump water. It is very difficult to get it working and loses its properties within a few seconds. I've sprayed food grade silicone over it but to no avail. I have a metal fuel transfer pump and it works fine. Need advice on how to get this pump working. There was very little detail on this item. The intake manifold consists of several parts that are screwed together. The pump screws into the 55 gallon keg through a fine threaded plug hole - the length of the threaded portion on the pump is long enough to hold it semi-securely in the keg. I like this pump and as far as I can tell from its parts it works well for drinking water. It has a known bug but if you know about it you can fix it and get an amazing pump. Here's the thing: The pump comes with 3 sections of PVC pipe connected by a bolt, except for the bottom section which is lowered with a sliding seal. This seal is not airtight, so the pump will only work if the entire base is fully submerged in water/liquid. the last two pipe sections, then it works perfectly.

This product worked great for the first few weeks. We use this to dispense herbal sanitizer from a 55 gallon drum. After a few weeks it stopped working. It does not pump, it seems that it cannot be restored and as soon as my staff brought this to my attention, it was too late to return it. Needless to say, I'm spreading the word that this is GARBAGE. This is my second pump. Bought another one for diesel. Exactly the same has been used and still works well after years of use. Although the manufacturer says it's not recommended for gasoline, I've been using the first pump for 15-gallon drums of gasoline for a long time. It has never let me down.
