Not the best, but damn good

I'm sure it's not the best/premium crimping tool but for the price I can't beat it. I don't use this tool/set every day either. My opinion may differ from mine. I can use it once a month. So far this has worked well.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Empty

Broken on first use of brake flare tools

The clamp holding the brake hose broke on first use. Of course, to attach the brake line, you must tighten the wing nuts to secure it. When tightening there are two pins holding the bottom in place, one of them broke and flew off. Can highly recommend something else.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Compatibility

Might be best best in tools and gear

I needed to make some new brake lines for a car I was working on. When using 3/16 inch cord, the double flare tool broke on the second. He also did most of the flares on the side. It worked well when using large sizes. large sizes, making it unusable for expanding smaller pipes.

Pros
  • everything is great!
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

It actually works with brake tools

Last week I had two other flaring tools trying to make a single break line but both failed. However, this one got the job done with ease. As long as you know the clamp is tight, it will perform like a champ. The instrument itself is made of better materials than the previous ones I've had. I would recommend buying this product. If you need to make a fault line, use this product. There are cheaper flare tools out there, but you pay for what you get.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Clarity
