Buy an official hard drive if you intend to use backward compatible games on your 360. I ordered a non-genuine brand instead and found I can't play backward compatible games.

This works exactly as it should for our Xbox 360 Slim. While these are much cheaper hard drive options, I felt better about buying an "official" Xbox hard drive and I'm glad I did. This will give us more storage space for games, allowing us to play more games. I'm happy, but my children are very happy!

This was a simple plug and play scenario. I bought this for my son's device which only came with an internal 4 gigabyte drive. Once plugged into the bay, it worked great (as of Christmas 2019). Now my kids can play games that used to take up extra space.

I was very skeptical. I have viewed this product many times without purchasing due to the bad reviews and price. I finally bought a hard drive a few weeks ago. IT IS EXCELLENT. Worked just as described. Came in the same original packaging. Was absolutely able to play original Xbox games! Excellent purchase.

I found the 360 E at a thrift store with no cables and no hard drive for $20. So I bought a power supply, HDMI, controller for less than $100. The hard drive was harder to find. This was the most expensive part of the process as I needed an official Microsoft hard drive. $119 is very expensive for 500GB, but it's no longer made and is the most reliable model. First of all this is not a new product - which would have been nice if it was in good condition and working - the box was really broken and glued together.
