Well, I don't think the bag can be smaller. I was expecting a small bag, especially after reading the reviews, but it's even smaller than I could have imagined! It doesn't matter how well it works because it would take 8-10 bags to clean one cage and I have 2 cages! It's probably my fault for not understanding the description but it's a very small package of bedding I'm not even sure what type of aviary just a package will use . I have a deep base pet cage, so this volume only covers a small half of my cage with a shallow layer of about 1/2 inch. However, after mixing it evenly into my regular paper based bedding, I noticed a difference in the smell of the cage. I wish it was a little cheaper in larger bags but I might still consider buying it again

I will report after actually using the bedding when I finally have enough. I had no idea how small this bag would be. It doesn't even cover half the bottom of my rat cages. While paper litter does not absorb or suppress odor as much as I would like, for the same price I can fill all 4 rat cages twice with paper litter. So if it lasts 3 times longer then it's worth it. If not, then it's bullshit. I bought this thinking it would work for at least 2 cells, not knowing it wouldn't even work for ONE
