Simple and not very pretty knee pads made of olive wood.

In the photo, the olive wood has some texture that gives depth to the color. The needles I received were very plain and looked like a pair of plain bamboo knit knees. Very disappointing.

Poor quality - knitting and crochet

Brand new, straight out of the box. I was knitting exactly 5 stitches when the Addi Natural needle broke in half. I've been knitting for over 30 years, this has never happened to me. Disgustingly poor quality, especially for the price. return for refund.

Comfortable knitting

I have been knitting for decades and have tried knitting with knitting needles made of different materials. At the moment the olive tree is my favorite. This is the warmest needle I've ever used and its long tips have been a great asset when working with fingering yarn on my lace projects. I have had the unfortunate experience that olive wood is brittle and can crack along the grain line. But I took advantage of the manufacturer's lifetime warranty and got a quick no-hassle replacement that has

Cons
  • Ugly packaging

One of the needles broke after a few days of use. I have bamboo and wooden circular needles galore, including Addi needles, and they have never broken. Obviously, the olive tree is not suitable for knitting. Buyer Warning! Judging by the experiences of other reviewers, this is not an isolated case. I would like to exchange them but will probably just send them back. They are expensive for such unreliable, poor quality needles. I have a feeling Addi will stop releasing them soon. At least theyโ€ฆ

Wonderfully warm needles

Wonderful needles! I bought a size 4 and 6 in 32 inch solid olive wood addi to knit a lovely church mouse pattern in delicious Rowan yarn. I've been knitting regular/turbo addi bikes for years and love them so much I wanted to try these. I didn't have the bad experience of one breaking like the other reviewer; I hope it was an anomaly. I like them so much that I take 2 more sizes. the wood makes the needle a little "stickier" which helps with smoother yarns that aren't as grippy as bambooโ€ฆ
