Excellent Band Saw Blade for Precise Cuts

Based on my experience, this band saw blade is a game-changer for anyone who works with wood or metal. It cuts through each material smoothly and effortlessly without leaving any rough edges. The blade's durability is impressive as well, lasting several hours of continuous usage. The only downside is the price, which is slightly higher compared to other band saw blades.

Pros
  • Smooth and precise cuts, durable
Cons
  • Slightly expensive

Great blade for the price

Use this blade with a 1 1/2 HP band saw. on fresh wood. Effortlessly cuts 10" to 14" thick wood to create bowl blanks. Also cut panels for cymbal blanks and cut very straight. It's not as durable as more expensive blades, but it's a lot cheaper.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket

Not as good as other Olson blades

Although it cuts well, there are issues with this blade. Although the weld did not break, it welded unevenly, causing cutting problems. Also, the blade doesn't track very well, forcing me to hold the work piece at a significant angle to get a straight cut. For some reason a cut seems to be better than a cut. For a blade this wide, most people will use it for loosening. I've used other Olson blades in the past but these are usually better quality. This blade is worse than usual.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Minor issues
