Not quite 62 inches and not close enough

Well, it's important to realize that neither band saws nor their blades are EXACTLY 62 inches. It's more of a neighborhood than an address. Most saws can work two inches or more with a difference in length. But the blade I received appeared to be about 66 inches. It is 4 inches longer than advertised. Good quality, made in the USA. I was sorry to return it.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Not automatic

Now I can actually use my 9 inch Ryobi band saw!

That's why I don't usually write reviews. piece $$%# of a 9" Ryobi band saw (which I was about to scrap) into a useful tool. I've tried blades from Home Depot, Lowes, Bosch, etc. I've been trying to saw very small wood for shoju/kumiko work. See photos above. The picture on the left is the best result I've been able to get with Bosch blades. The one on the right is the new Olson. I just ordered another one and will never buy another brand as long as I have this saw. Don't waste your time like…

Wonderful! Works better than OEM.

I have a cheap Ryobi band saw that I haven't used much. The OEM blade wasn't like that. It could cut plywood, but anything over 1/2 inch would get stuck and sometimes stop altogether. I thought it was the bandsaw itself that sucked and I wanted to sell it cheap or give it away and get a better one. But I decided to try the new blade first as it's the cheapest route. I read reviews about it, most were positive so I bought it. All I can say is it's amazing! It's like having a new bandsaw. I will…

Curve like a boss and blunt like a king

If you're not looking for straight cuts, this blade stack is for you. This blade deflects so much that it loses air almost as well as a parent does when a five-year-old asks where the child is from. If this blade were a human then it would definitely be a politician due to its outstanding ability to deflect rather than strike directly. Not to mention, this little fella immediately deflated like he's going to be a crowbar when he grows up. When I mean fast I mean within 2 hours of use. Only buy…

Significant improvement over the standard blade

I am a retired carpenter used to using very large woodworking machines including band saws. But since I'm short on space at home, I ordered a Grizzly 9" band saw - as always, a ready-to-use tool for quick and easy cutting on small jobs. As a realist, I really wasn't expecting too much. :0). The saw came with a 1/4" saw blade installed and even with realistic expectations I was more than a little disappointed as the Grizzly 9" bandsaw will cut through harder 3/4" wood with the standard blade…
