Zoom and scope combo is good for point and shoot digital cameras

Obviously I'm not a pro, not even a photo geek - but an enthusiast. I'm a lazy nature watcher - pelicans, bears, dolphins, you name it - and would rather use a 40-50x zoom to snap a photo than crawl around in a camouflage suit. So the advantage of this camera was the aiming device. First impressions - it works and makes a huge difference, especially when you're trying to keep up with a moving target. Ease of use, image quality ranges from acceptable to good depending on how carefully you think…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • No power

The Olympus Stylus is a nice addition to the Olympus Super Zooms.

I have been using Olympus Superzoom for a long time. After Olympus went broke, the new superzoom never came out. I've always had an Olympus for my superzooms. I tried Nikon and it sucked. There was just no quality. I've tried Canon and Nikon, but none of their cameras come close to the quality of the Olympus superzooms. I'm doing an 11 day backpacking trip and had to consider the weight. I leave my DSLR at home and take this camera. It's not that good, but it's good enough, and the weight and…

The image stabilization is excellent. I've been photographing since 1968.

I posted a photo of the moon on Facebook with very clear details of the lunar craters. This is the first camera I've owned in 10 years that can automatically do exposure compensation when it's pointed at the moon. I was able to hold the camera with my hand while leaning against the car. The image stabilization is excellent. I've been photographing since 1968. I've photographed weddings, recorded DVDs and traveled around Europe photographing for the past 26 years. This camera has a 50x zoom…

I bought this SP100 from Olympus to replace a Nikon P510 which was BAD (out of focus) at shooting action scenes - galloping horses were my subject. The previous version of my Olympus worked fine, but at 18x zoom, so I gave the Olympus another try. This photo shows 11 hooves off the ground. Taken from a distance of 95 meters. I really like the camera but the manual sucks. Too much emphasis is placed on brevity and small print. A few months later I found the problem. Flashing orange camera image…

This is a great camera. I searched for "point and shoot ".

This is a great camera. I was looking for a "point and shoot" with a large optical zoom. It's not the wallet size I originally intended to buy - in fact it's probably the same size as my DSLR. I'm not a professional photographer so I was very pleased that I got some good shots of the moon. Even Jupiter was with him. only one problem And I had to contact them about this. A week after I received it, the LCD screen broke for no apparent reason. It was in a suitcase, not exposed to extreme…

Fun easy to use funny camera.

Really fun and very useful camera. It magnifies everything I want to capture from afar. I have a great Super Moon photo, more than any I have seen on Facebook, and I have many extras. The details were so clear. I took some photos of a sunflower taller than the house. I enlarged one of the colors and got really good colors and detail. This camera takes very good low-light shots, whether I'm zooming in or shooting close-ups. As a passenger in my daughter's car, I photographed Amish country with…

Competent camera with super focus, but I wasn't "overwhelmed "

After using the Olympus SP-100 for a week, I came to the conclusion that, apart from a few surfaces, it has excellent qualities Weaknesses. Overall, I didn't find anything that deserved a "WOW!". So I'm returning it and continuing to search for a camera that better suits my needs. Here, however, my main thoughts are on the positive side. In addition, there are of course many other features, but here is what is particularly important to me: ► Excellent and relatively quiet zoom. A 50x optical…

My fourth Olympus camera but disappointed

This is the fourth Olympus camera I have bought over the years because I love the earlier models and their features and of course the lifespan of each camera and of course I liked the photos very much I could take them with me. I was a bit worried about this model when I read reviews that said it didn't have a macro setting. It absolutely has a super macro setting. I actually have a photo of a flower with an ant crawling over it, which you can see very well. I have some beautiful close up shots
