Fits in the "glove box " like a glove box!

The perfect replacement for the original box! Perfect fit for my 1972 CJ5! We remove the glove box door, press it in the middle and slide it into the hole too! I held it in place and used an ice pick to pre-drill the holes, then installed it with the sheet metal screws provided!

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • some trouble

Terrible little thing

The original jeep never had a glove box. wanted to get one to "finish" the dashboard look/remodel. I had no idea he was so small. The material flexed a lot so the fastening work wasn't as visually appealing as I had hoped. the part itself looks quite decent, should serve well and be a place to store small things.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Lots of things

Fits in a Jeep box. on consoles and organizers

It looks like a tgat that fits into a standard sized outlet. I hated that it was so short in depth. It's about 4-5 inches deep and also has a cropped corner. Crazy flat plastic box with screws. My original was much deeper oiled cardboard, attached with sheet metal screws and spring clip nuts. It will work but not the best choice, just a replacement.

Perfect fit for consoles and organizers

I think most people having trouble with this could have tried installing it through the hole, which you could have done, but I didn't. At least try. I just removed the dashboard and put it in the back. The metal tabs should also be in the box, with the supplied screws screwed in from the inside so they are facing out so you can see the screw heads inside the box.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • No instructions

Perfect Fit/Replaces '86 CJ7

Fits my '86 CJ7 perfectly. Some reviews indicated that the dashboard had to be removed to install. Not in this case. In fact, my 10-year-old son climbed through the glove box door and into the dash while I hooked up a new ground cable to the battery. . It took some effort to hold it in place to drill holes for the guide screws, which I highly recommend. Otherwise much better than the original cardboard version.

Pros
  • Lots of Good Vibes
Cons
  • Few Cons

Complete lie and waste of time. Doesn't even come close to a fit, and believe me we've been trying for a while. Basically, the glove box opening has rounded corners, and those are square corners, so it's not possible. While I appreciate Revain's refund, I am completely pissed at the ENTIRE WASTE OF MY TIME. False advertising and I am sure I will NEVER buy any automotive product from this company ever again.

Nice cardboard glove box replacement

Fits easily in my 1980 Jeep CJ7. I did this as part of a dashboard update. I didn't open the dashboard. I just squeezed/pushed it through the hole on the left side first. Then, once the box was behind the dash, I moved it forward and under the box's opening edge. The screws were installed through the glove box frame into the plastic. Do not overtighten the screws or you will tear them off. Self-tapping screws can be replaced with bolts and nuts if necessary. It's smaller than the ugly cardboard

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Perfect fit 1981 CJ-7

Perfect fit for my 1981 CJ-7! This is a 5 star replacement for the cardboard glove box that was the OEM standard on the CJ7! To install, you MUST remove the latch on top of the glove box. There are 2 screws and they are easy to loosen. The glove box slides diagonally and then you need to position the plastic glove box AROUND the metal frame that is part of the dash. Then use a drawing pen to mark where the factory aligns with the plastic glove box. Remove the glove box and drill pilot holesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Perfect fit for me

Easy Install on a 1981 CJ7

This is a fairly simple product and there aren't too many problems with it. After removing the old cardboard insert, it snapped into place very easily. You have to squeeze it a bit, but it definitely fits in the hole without removing other parts of the jeep. After installation I marked all the screw holes with a permanent marker, removed the insert, drilled, resealed and screwed in all the screws. When things get tight (I have a short screwdriver, a handrail and a full roll cage). I ended upโ€ฆ
