Ideal for fans

Super durable plastic. Had to do a little modification to fit the SBC engine to my CJ7. I only made cuts to tow the radiator pipes. Otherwise straight bolt and perfect for a GM mechanical fan on a short nosed water pump.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • No instructions

Excellent goods !

Production and performance are better than expected. It's like the sheath I replaced. Precise fit. Made of fiberglass, not cheap plastic. Fits my 1977 cj5 Jeep with 304 V8 engine. Cools the engine in the southwest heat. I would recommend it!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Better than expected

As described. Worked well with my 82 CJ7 with 360 V8. The plastic is much thicker than I expected. I was hesitant to buy it instead of making it out of tin but I'm glad I bought it. Ease of installation and build quality justify its price.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Useless features

Trout needs more air for traction CFM

Perfect and much needed for cooling a 383 stroker with a 1980 CJ5. With an 18 inch fan and a thermocouple it stays nice and cool, smartest thing I've ever done is keep it nice and cool, smartest thing I've ever done it's back on a jacket.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some nuances

Prepare for the change. No direct connection.

Works well once installed. Does exactly what I need. The problem is that the holes are too low. I had to modify with a Dremel tool and raise the holes an inch and a half to effectively lower the shroud and clear the bottom of the fan. The ribs on the top holes had to be sanded down with a grinder and grinding wheels. Prepare to spend 3 hours installing this device.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Fragile

Works well for direct fan intake.

I installed this on a 1984 Cj7. My Cj7 has an aftermarket radiator and a mild 360 V8 engine. The fairing didn't fit because of my aftermarket radiator that was made for a Peugeot car, but with a few minor tweaks it worked. Combines the fairing with a 7-blade fan from a 360 Wagoneer and a beefy fan clutch from a Chevy van. With this setup, the only way I could get the motor past 190 degrees was to put a plastic trash bag off the radiator. The suction power of the fan combined with the fairingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Crumpled

Excellent quality. Heavy Duty

Installed on my 1986 CJ7. I have an AMC 304 with a 3-core heatsink and a 19.5" 7-blade Grand Wagoneer fan. My Jeep is modified but the only thing I had to do was drill 4 new mounting holes to match my radiator and engine fan. Fits perfectly and has completely solved my overheating issues. I doubted it would change anything at all, and wow! The suction power at the front of the grill is amazing. The shroud really had a big impact on the amount of air that flowed through the radiator. The quality

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Blank

The part is high quality but it may require some work

To be honest I'm not 100% sure of the year of my engine as there was an exchange. It's an AMC 304 V8 but I can't find the date plate. The holes on the driver's side didn't quite line up as the lower part of the housing rests against the lower radiator pipe. I could either cut it with a jigsaw or just drill a new hole. It would have been easier to make it out of a Jeep, but I didn't know it wouldn't fit until I stuffed it in the engine bay. Also, the previous owner only used 2 screws which isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Hard to tell

I have to be good Yep - fits perfectly

You can hear a lot of bad reviews about Omix-Ada parts. Don't let that stop you from ordering this radiator fan shroud. My 1975 Jeep CJ5 didn't have it. It also came with a 258 4.2 liter engine that gave its last breath. When replacing this engine with a small block Chevrolet 350, I wanted to take every precaution to avoid overheating. This can be achieved by ensuring that the mechanical fan is pushing air through the heatsink. I bought this Omix-ada fan cover which was made for the 304V8โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I won't say anything
